Two workers had been killed and another two were injured when a mound of earth collapsed on them while digging a foundation for a building in Pothupitiya this morning, police said.
The tragedy has taken place while the workers were engaged in the construction work of building of the Pothupitiya Maha Vidyalaya, Rakwana.
The injured were admitted to the Pothupitiya Hospital.
