Party Leaders have decided to hold a two-day adjournment debate on the Government Policy Statement to be made by President Ranil Wickremesinghe in Parliament on February 8.
Accordingly, the debate will be held on February 9 and10, Secretary General of Parliament Dhammika Dassanayake said.
This was decided at the Party Leaders meeting held today (03) under the patronage of the Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardana.
Parliament is scheduled to convene on Thursday (9) at 9.30 am and it has been decided to take up the Regulations under the Welfare Benefits Act and Fifty-one Motions regarding the Annual Reports of various Statutory Institutions.
Thereafter, the Adjournment Debate on the Government Policy Statement presented by the President will be taken taken up for debate. (Ajith Siriwardana and Yohan Perera)
