Two suspects were arrested by the Police Narcotic Bureau (PNB) with 1.06 kg of heroin valued over Rs. 12 million at Akurala in Ambalangoda.
Police said the suspects were arrested following a tip-off on Saturday evening and the PNB also seized a car during the raid.
The suspects, aged 43 and 58 were identified as residents of Uragasmanhandiya and Rathgama.
They would be produced in the Balapitiya Magistrate's Court.
