Two Lankans to undergo quarantine period in Army facility in India

Ministry of Foreign Relations said the two Sri Lankans who were evacuated from the Diamond Princess Cruise ship will undergo a quarantine period in the Army facility in Haryana, India.

It said in a statement that they will return to Colombo upon completion of the quarantine procedure in India and that they are in good health, according to the Sri Lanka Embassy in Japan.  

The Ministry said the two Sri Lankan crew members who were on board the ship in Yokohama, Japan, were evacuated last night by a charter flight organised by the Indian Government to New Delhi upon a request made by the Sri Lankan Government.
