A man who who was conducting tuition classes has been arrested by the STF for distributing narcotic capsules among schoolchildren in Kalutara along with capsules.
The officers of the Special Task Force Katukurunda Training School raided a house in Kalutara and recovered 1,299 narcotic capsules.
It was revealed the suspect was a tutor teaching mathematics and science subjects for grades 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 and resides in a rented out house with his wife and two children.
Investigations revealed that the suspect, a resident of Mawanella, has been peddling these drugs for a long time targeting the children of a leading school in Kalutara.
The suspect was handed over to the Kalutara South Police for further investigations.(DSB)
