The government will impose travel restrictions between districts if the need arises.
Army Commander, General Shavendra Silva said that while a decision has not been taken to impose travel restrictions between districts, it has not been ruled out.
General Shavendra Silva earlier announced that travel restrictions between provinces will be enforced from midnight tonight (Tuesday) till 30th May.
He said that the restrictions will, however, not affect the operations of essential services. (Jamila Husain)
