An express train arriving from Batticoloa collided with a cab this morning between Eravur and Valaichchenai train stations, the railways department said.
They stated that the train was departing from Batticaloa for Colombo Fort. Two people in the cab were hospitalized due to injuries.
The engine of the train had been damaged as a result of the accident.
Arrangements were made to assign an auxiliary train from Batticaloa. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
