Toll of Covid-19 deaths climbs to 61 with three more deaths

Three more Covid-19 deaths were reported today increasing the total number of COVID-19 deaths to 61, the Department of Government Information said.

Two males aged 70, 75 and a female aged 84 are among the victims.

The details of the deceased are as follows,

1. An 84-year-old female, a resident of Moratuwa was reported dead at her residence. The cause of death has been identified as diabetes and Covid-19 infection.

2. A 70-year-old male from Colombo 10, succumbed to Covid-19 on admission to the IDH. The cause of death was ruled as chronic kidney disease and a stroke, with Covid-19 infection.

3. A 75-year-old male, a resident of Colombo 13 died on admission to the Colombo National Hospital. The cause of death was identified as diabetes and congestive heart condition exacerbated by Covid-19. (Sheain Fernandopulle)
