The navy has deployed three navy vessels to assist a vessel which was in distress in the sea off Sangamankanda Point this morning.
The Navy Spokesman said two vessels were deployed from Trincomalee and another one from Hambantota.
He said a fire has erupted in the vessel belonging to Panama.
