Three more COVID-19 deaths were reported in Sri Lanka increasing the death toll to 44, Director General of Health Services said.
The deceased were identified as a 40-year-old man from Colombo 11, a 45-year-old man from Kelaniya and an 80-year-old male from Panadura.
The immediate cause of deaths has been identified as heart failure due to Covid-19 infection.
A total of five Covid-19 deaths were reported yesterday alone. (Sheain Fernandopulle)
