Three persons who were earlier identified as COVID-19 patients have tested negative for the virus today, Health Service Director General Dr Anil Jasinghe said.

Accordingly, two persons from Rajagiriya and Kolonnawa and a nurse at the National Hospital, Colombo were tested negative for COVID-19. Earlier, the results of the first PCR test of the three persons have shown positive.

However, further testing had proved that they have not contracted the virus. Earlier today, Army Commander Shavendra Silva said they were conducting further testing on a few persons, including the three who tested negative this evening, as there has been no trace of how they were infected.
