The Tamil National Alliance (TNA) MPs voted for no confidence motion against the Government on Thursday on the promise pledged by the Government that it would grant a separate divisional secretariat for them, SLFP General Secretary Dayasiri Jayasekara alleged yesterday.

Responding to questions raised by the journalists, he said the Government had also promised to give a sum of Rs. 50 million to each TNA MP for development purposes.

“It is apparent that the incumbent government is running with the support of the TNA and thus it is a UNP-TNA government,” the MP added.
