A supplement was given to animals in the zoological garden in Dehiwala today, Wild Life Minister CB Rathnayake said.
According to him, the supplement was given to the animals to boost their energy and immunity in order to fight diseases.
"The supplies came from India and it was not given to animals not against the coronavirus," Minister Rathnayake said.
The supplement was given only to increase their fitness, he added.
The Minister further said the lion, which tested positive for coronavirus at the Dehiwala Zoo, had recovered from the virus. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
