Relating to a video being circulated on social media where a senior official at the Condominium Management Authority (CMA) is allegedly soliciting sexual bribe from a female employee in 2015, the Housing Ministry has recorded statements from the relevant individuals.

CMA Chairman Sarana Karunaratna told Daily Mirror that an inquiry was launched by the internal audit department of the State Ministry of Rural Housing and Construction & Building Material Industries following an anonymous letter received by the Ministry Secretary this year.

He said the statements were recorded from the official, the victim and a third party.

“However, no complaint has been made in relation to the incident even by the victim or anyone else,” Mr. Karunaratne said adding that the senior official and the victim were still working at the CMA.  (Sheain Fernandopulle)
