The Police have recorded a statement from former Sports Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage over his comment on 2011 World Cup final match fixing.
Police said special investigation unit on sports offence had recorded the statement at the former minister’s Nawalapitiya office this morning.
Earlier, Mr. Aluthgamage claimed that 2011 ICC World Cup final match between India and Sri Lanka was fixed.
Police said further investigations will be carried out following the statement.(Darshana Sanjeewa Balasuriya)
