A 37-year-old Sri Lankan, who attempted to smuggle 18 gold biscuits, has been arrested by the Police Narcotic Bureau (PNB) officials at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) this morning.
Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said the suspect had arrived at the BIA at 10.00 am this morning onboard a Oman Airways flight.
The suspect was identified as Mohamed Ushman of Negombo.
He was handed over to the customs authorities for investigations.
