Pathum Nissanka and Dhananjaya de Silva scored half-centuries as Sri Lanka failed to capitalize on a fast start, to be restricted to 263 for 9 in their Cricket World Cup warm up match against Bangladesh in Guwahati.

There was also concern over the fitness of opener Kusal Perera who retired hurt with an apparent shoulder in the 10th over of the innings.

Perera, along with opening partner Pathum Nissanka, gave Sri Lanka a strong start, scoring 64 runs together, before the former reitred hurt.

Nissanka and Kusal Mendis then took Sri Lanka to 69 for 0 in ten overs, before plundering 34 runs off the next four overs -- 19 of those runs coming off a single Hasan Mahmud over.

Mendis however was dismissed in the 15th over, after the teams took a drinks break, caught by Najmul Hossain Shanto off the bowling of Nasum Ahmed for 22 off 19 balls.

One brought two for Bangladesh, with Sadeera Samarawickrama dismissed in the next over for 2, as Sri Lanka slipped to 107 for 2.

Nissanka added a six and a four to his tally in the 19th over, before returning a catch to Mahedi Hasan at the end of the next over.
