SLFP National Organiser Duminda Dissanayake today said that it is pathetic to see some people taking advantage of the problematic situation prevailing in the country for mere personal political mileage.
He made these remarks in response to a question raised by a journalist about the news that former Defense Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa announcing his candidacy at upcoming Presidential Election.
While leaving Gangaramaya Temple after taking part in religious observances held to remember the victims of Easter Sunday terror attack, Dissanayake said what every politician should do is get together to find a lasting solution to the ongoing issue.
"Everyone should join hands and support the government to tackle this issue without gaining political and personal advantages of the situation," he said.
