A slight delay may occur when Sri Lanka receives the one million doses of the COVID-19 vaccines from the Serum Institute of India, Cabinet Spokesperson Minister Ramesh Pathirana said.

“The delay may be expected due to the fire which recently erupted at a building of the manufacturing plant of the Institute,” the Minister said.

He said this during the press conference held this morning to announce the Cabinet decisions.
