Several roads leading to Colombo have been blocked as IUSF and civil activists have launched a protest demanding the release of IUSF leaders Wasantha Mudalige and Ven. Galwewa Siridhamma Thera from remand custody.
As a result, Bauddhaloka Mawatha and one side of the Baseline Road from TID office have been blocked by the protestors causing a severe traffic jam in the area.
Police have requested motorists to use alternate routes.
