Seven caught at BIA with 3Kg. of heroin

Seven suspects were taken into custody at the Bandaranaike International Airport with 3 kilograms of heroin in their possession.

Officers of the Police Narcotics Bureau arrested the suspects when they were attempting to take the heroin out of the airport.

The suspects are believed to have connections with international narcotics racketeers. They were taken into custody following information received by the Police Narcotics Bureau.
Suspects comprise three Sri Lankans and four Maldivians. (Ranjith Ferdinandez)
