The secretaries who served in the Ministries of Defence, Public Security and Finance were reappointed by the President from yesterday to ensure the normalcy of the livelihood of the people, in accordance with the powers vested in the President, President's Media Division (PMD) said.
Accordingly,Retired General Kamal Gunaratne has been reappointed as Secretary to the Ministry of Defence,Retired Major General Jagath Alwis as the Secretary to the Ministry of Public Security and K.M. Mahinda Siriwardana as the Secretary to the Ministry of Finance.
