A Sub Inspector (SI) of Police attached to the Southern Province Special Investigation Unit was arrested by the CID today over the abduction of two businessmen in Rathgama, Police Spokesman SP Ruwan Gunasekera said.
Earlier, an Inspector of Police (IP), who was also attached to the Southern Province Special Investigation Unit, was arrested by the CID on February 18 over the abduction.
The two businessmen were reported to have been abducted on January 23 by some unidentified men who were clad in a dress similar to the police uniform. (Darshana Sanjeewa)
