Rosy tested negative for COVID-19
Colombo Mayor Rosy Senanayake has been tested negative for COVID19 ,CMC Chief Medical officer Dr.ruwan Wijayamuni said yesterday.
Dr. Wijayamuni told the Daily Mirror that there was no truth in the story spreading that Ms. Senanayake had tested COVID-19 positive. Dr. Wijayamuni said PCR tests were carried out on 140 members of the Colombo Municipal Council including the Mayor.
PCR tests were carried out after an employee at the Municipal Council was tested COVID-19 positive on Wednesday. She was an employee from the Public Assistance office of the Municipal Council office in Deans Road.Ms Senanayake was subjected to a PCR test as she had attended the financial committee meeting of the Municipal Council on Wednesday.(Yohan Perera)
