The road leading to Borella from the United Nations Head quarters in Thummulla was closed due to protest organised by the members of the civil activits and the Inter University Students Federation (IUSF), police said.
The protest was organized to demand the release of IUSF convenor Wasantha Mudalige and Ven. Galwewa Siridhamma Thera from remand custody under the prevention of terrorism act.
