Ravi K and eight other suspects tested COVID negative: Prison Spokesman

The eight suspects and the Assistant Leader of the United National Party (UNP) and former Minister Ravi Karunanayake tested negative for COVID-19.

The suspects who are under remand custody in connection with the Central Bank (CB) bond scam, tested negative for COVID-19 after recent PCR tests, Prisons Spokesman Chandana Ekanayake said.

Accordingly, the suspects were transferred to the Colombo Remand Prison, he said.

Colombo Special High Court Trial-at-Bar remanded former Minister Ravi Karunanayaka and eight others on March 17 till 23 over the CB Bond scam in March 2016.
