MP Ven. Athuraliye Rathana Thera today rejected the letter circulating on social media claiming that he had decided not to support SLPP presidential candidate Gotabaya Rajapaksa and said it was a bogus letter.
By issuing a statement Ven. Rathana said the letter was issued when he was the leader of the Janthik Hela Urumaya (JHU) ten years ago.
While describing the circulating false letter, the prelate said it was written in Sinhala and carries a seal in English.
"I never use a seal in English for my letters," the Thera said. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
