Several public protests are being carried out in most parts of the country against the government and the current economic crisis.
Large number of people including professionals, artists and university students have joined the protest in major cities in the country.
A protest is underway obstructing the Tangalle - Kataragama Main Road close to the Carlton House in Tangalle.(DSB)
