Former Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa has extended his wishes to his borther President Gotabaya Rajapaksa on the latter’s birthday saying that “I have every assurance that he will martial this country out of this crisis.”
“A very happy birthday to President and all the very best as he steps into another year of his life. His presence has always been a source of strength and I have every assurance that he will martial this country out of this crisis,” former Prime Minister Rajapaksa tweeted.
Meanwhile, several other politicians too have extended their wishes to President Rajapaksa.
“Wishing President a happy & blessed birthday as you shoulder the burden of leading this nation during these trying times. Let’s hope and work towards a future of Prosperity & unity as we forge ahead,” Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella tweeted.
Minister of Energy Kanchana Wijesekera in a Twitter message also that said, “Wishing President Gotabaya Rajapaksa a Healthy, Prosperous and a Happy B’day. Wishing for more strength, courage and blessings to overcome the challenges to lead the nation.”
