President Ranil Wickremesinghe left for the United Kingdom this morning to attend the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II.
This is the first visit of Mr. Wickremesinghe after becoming the President.
An eight-member delegation reportedly accompanied the President during this visit.
Officials at the Bandaranaike International Airport said the President left for Dubai this morning on an Emirates airlines. From Dubai, the entourage will fly to London.
