An inmate among the five who escaped while receiving treatment at the Gallella Covid Treatment Centre in Polonnaruwa, had been arrested in the Madampe area, Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana said.
He said 27-year-old Maddumaralalage Kavindu Madushan had been sent for a treatment centre.
