He said this when launching a programme to identify and reward disciplined drivers in Colombo and highlighted the fact that due to reckless driving by a few had caused problems to most people.
The Police Chief said from time to time the police would implement various mechanisms to avoid or reduce traffic congestion and accidents.
The second phase of the programme to identify disciplined was launched in Colombo today. Police said trained policemen would be stationed at strategic locations while some will travel incognito in buses and unlabeled vehicles. (Darshana Sanjeewa)
