Leaders of political parties representing Parliament are to meet today where they are expected to discuss several issues including taking action against MPs Harin Fernando and Manusha Nanayakkara who have been accused of carrying a parcel inside the House illegally during the last sessions.
It was reported that some government MPs wanted action taken against the two opposition MPs for bringing in parcels into the chambers illegally.
Also sources said the party leaders will discuss about debating certain legislations including Tax Surcharge Bill which has become controversial.
Parliament is expected to meet next Tuesday March 8 2022. (Yohan Perera)
