Reports on investigations carried out by intelligence agencies have revealed that a certain group in the opposition has had a hand in the recent strike action launched by the Government Medical Officers Association (GMOA), government sources said yesterday.

These reports have already been handed over to President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe by the intelligence units.

The reports have revealed that there was also a plan to get others in the health services to join in the strike if it proved to be a success. Further it has been revealed that the GMOA had a meeting with the said opposition group at a residence of an opposition MP. (Yohan Perera)
