A 35-year-old woman was killed and 10 others were injured when a passenger bus met with an accident at Ratmalgoda in Polgahawela on the Kurunegala-Colombo road this morning (23).
Police Spokesman SSP Nihal Thalduwa said the accident occurred when a tipper truck and the bus collided head on.
The bus was traveling from Mullaitivu to Maharagama when it collided.
The injured were admitted to the Kurunegala Hospital and four of them were admitted to the Emergency Unit.
The driver of the bus has been arrested in connection with the accident.
