A suspect had been arrested with a large stock of explosives hidden in a house at Karadiyannaru in Batticaloa last evening.
Accordingly, 762 gelignite sticks, 2,622 kilos of ammonia, 6,000 fuses and 113 cyanide sticks were seized.
The Batticaloa District Crime Investigation Division is conducting further investigations. (Jaufer Khan)
