No police bail for those arrested today

Police bail will not be granted to any person who is arrested for any illegal act today, Police Spokesman SDIG Ajith Rohana said.

He said that legal action would be taken against them after they were produced in court.

He said if a movable property was taken along with the suspect it would be seized and would be sealed if it is an immovable property.

The spokesman said that the travel restrictions imposed yesterday 10.00 pm would be in effect until 4 am tomorrow (25).

Only those who have been called for essential services can leave their homes, he said.

SDIG Rohana said that Police have arrested 442 people for violating quarantine rules in the last 24 hours.

Accordingly, a total of 42,789 persons have been arrested for violating quarantine rules from October 30 to date. (Darshana SAnjeewa Balasuriya)
