No flights from UK permitted to land from 2.00 am tomorrow: CAASL

Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka (CAASL) today said that they will be suspending all flights from UK over fears of the new strain of coronavirus from tomorrow morning.

Speaking to the Daily Mirror, CAASL Chairman Upul Dharmadasa said the decision was taken to suspend all flights from the UK from 2.00 a.m tomorrow. 

The decision was made to prevent the new coronavirus strain entering the country. 

The new coronavirus strain spreading over 40 countries including the UK.

Accordngly, all flights from the UK will not be allowed to land in Sri Lanka, he said. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
