There will be no extra bus fares charged, except for the charges announced on November 11, 2020 by the National Transport Commission (NTC), Transport State Minister Dilum Amunugama said.
He said the fares are prescribed on condition that passengers are transported as per the seating capacity during the COVID-19 period.
Accordingly, the NTC has granted a 1.2% fare increase for the buses operating during the COVID pandemic, the State Minister said.
The minimum bus fare of Rs.12 was increased to Rs.14 while the maximum bus fare was increased from Rs. 473 to Rs 567. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
