Namal Rajapaksa remanded

UPFA MP Namal Rajapaksa who was arrested by the FCID over the inquiry conducted against him on allegations of misappropriating 70 million worth of funds belonging to 'Krish Company’, was remanded till July 18 by the Fort Magistrate Lanka Jayaratne today.

He was summoned by the FCID this morning to record a statement and later taken into custody over allegations of financial misappropriation amounting to Rs. 70 million which was given to conduct a Rugby tournament in 2013 during the previous government. (Shehan Chamika Silva)
