Motorists are advised to display their names and contact telephone number on the windscreen to identify the vehicles clearly, the Police Spokesman SP Ruwan Gunasekera said.
He said that too many telephone calls had been received by the Police regarding unidentified vehicles parked on waysides.
He said that to avoid such misleading information, vehicle drives were advised to past their name and telephone number clearly.
“With the telephone number and the name Police can identify the real owner of the vehicle without wasting valuable time,” he said.
He also advised motorists not to park their vehicles on the roadsides carelessly. (Chaturanga Samarawickrama)
