Match-fixing claims: Upul Tharanga summoned by Police

Cricketer Upul Tharanga has been summoned by the Special Investigation Division of the Ministry of Sports to record a statement over the 2011 ICC World Cup Final match-fixing allegation.

Tharanga has been asked to appear before the investigation unit tomorrow at 9 am.

Earlier, former Sports Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage claimed that ICC World Cup final match between India and Sri Lanka in 2011 was fixed.

On June 24, the Special Investigation Division recorded statement from Aluthgamage over his comment.
