A 40-year old man was stabbed to death by an individual during a dispute regarding theft of petrol from a motorcycle in Borella early this morning.
The Borella Police initiated investigation that a person from Borella was attacked with a sharp weapon at Castle Street. The injured man had died on admission to the Colombo National Hospital.
The investigation revealed that the murder took place following a dispute after an individual stole petrol from the victims's motorcycle.
The Borella Police arrested the 29-year-old suspect over the murder. (Darshana Sanjeewa Balasuriya)
