An individual was arrested by the STF personnel with nearly two kilos of ice or methamphetamine at Point Pedro in Jaffna this morning, Police said.
They said the suspect aged 66 was arrested on information received by the STF while transporting the drugs in a van.
The drugs packed in two parcels were hidden under the driving seat.
The suspect is to be produced in Point Pedro Magistrate’s court tomorrow.
