Malaysia pledge support to Sri Lanka

Malaysian King Sultan Muhammad said he had directed the Malaysian Government to give every required support to Sri Lanka.

He praised the activities of the new government of Sri Lanka and commended the manner in which the consensual government functions.

The official meeting between President Maithripala Sirisena and the King of Malaysia Sultan Muhammad was held yesterday at the Palace of the Malaysian King.

President Sirisena explained the King about the actions taken by the consensual government on reconciliation, amendment of the constitution and the economic development.

He also thanked the Malaysian government for the assistance provided to Sri Lanka. The president also expressed his confidence about the assistance would be given by the government of Malaysia to achieve future development goals.
