The main suspect in the incident in where a 14-year-old boy was shot dead at Gajanayakagama in Weeraketiya, has been arrested, Police Spokesman SSP Nihal Thalduwa said.
The boy died after being shot at during a family dispute on September 19.
The main suspect was arrested along with another person while hiding in a forest area
The firearm used in the shooting was also found by the police during interrogation of the suspect. Police also seized another locally made firearm from the other suspect.
They are to be produced before the Walasmulla Magistrate today.
