A truck transporting chickens slammed on to a bridge and thrown into the Galmal Oya at Moragahamula on the Kandy-Mahiyangana Road resulting in the death of the driver and 1,500 chickens.
The deceased driver is a resident of Katukithula, Millagahamula and a father of one.
The chickens said to have been transported to Gampola.(J.A.L. Jayasinghe and Chandana Uduwawala)
