Three Sri Lankans who tried to fly out to Britain using forged visas were arrested by Immigration and Emigration authorities at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA).

These three Sri Lankans had come to the immigration counter at the airport to clear their immigration procedures before boarding the London-bound flight.

The Immigration officers on duty while screening through their travel documents, were suspicious about the accuracy of the visas and later found them to have been fake.

The passengers aged between 23 and 31 years old, residents of Jaffna, Mallavi and Chavakachcheri were handed over to the BIA Criminal Investigation Department for further investigation.(Indika Sri Aravinda)
