House Leader Lskshman Kiriella today invited the UPFA to participate in the proceedings of Parliamentary Select Committee appointed to inquire into the Easter Sunday attacks.
“Please attend the proceedings as the main obstacle which made you boycott the PSC is no more with the resignation of Minister Rishad Bthiudeen,” he said.
UPFA decided to boycott the PSC saying it was an exercise to help Mr. Bathiudeen escape the no-confidence motion.
The House Leader alleged that members of the National Thowheed Jama'at (NTJ) were paid monthly salaries during the previous regime. (Yohan Perera and Ajith Siriwardana)
