The Special Task Force (STF) personnel have arrested a man, believed to the boyfriend of the kidnapped 14-year old girl and another man.
The investigation was conducted following a request by the Lunugala police to the STF following a police complaint on the kidnapping.
They said the suspects were arrested following a search operation conducted in the Udakiruwa forest reserve in the Linugala police area.
The combing was carried out for eight days in the forest reserve and found the 14-year-old girl in the company of two males, an 18 old boy and a 53-year-old man who were residents of Lunugala and Beruwala, the police said.
The girl was taken to the doctors at the Lunugala Hospital for a medical examination.
